★ Character Information ★
Character Name: Gemmaline
Character Age: 80ish years old
Character Species: Dark Elf (Dunmer)
Current Health: A little beat up and exhausted, but good.
Outfit:
Character Canon: The Elder Scrolls Online
Link to History: Here; I feel that this is a lot for a person to go through in just a couple of years so I'll be trimming back some of the storylines and the amount of organizations she belongs to. This game's story starts with the character's death, so anything that happened before is fair game. I've decided that Gemmaline was an orphan who grew up in an orphanage in Morrowind. As Dunmer society is heavily influenced by its five Great Houses, it's a hard climb socially if one doesn't know what House they belong to. This shaped Gemmaline's early years as she felt like an outsider in her own land and even some of the other orphans knew who their ancestors were and mocked her for being a nobody. While still considered young in Dunmer terms, Gemmaline ran away from the orphanage and joined the Thieves' Guild, commiting petty crimes and honing her skills as a Nightblade. She began traveling more to commit crimes farther afield than Morrowind and always preferred her theft to be of the rich and powerful — especially Dunmer who held high positions and represented their Houses. Eventually she began to tire of living in the shadows and found that on her journeys she could offer aid to the poor and downtrodden. With gold coming in from taking these odd jobs, she saw an opportunity to pull back from the Thieves' Guild and forge her own path. It was then, however, that she was tricked into a meeting where she was kidnapped, drugged, and taken as a sacrifice to Molag Bal. When she returned to life without her soul is when her new journey began, outlined in the history link above.
Canon Point: Right after the events of the Deadlands DLC
Canon Iteration: Original canon (though a malleable protagonist).

Role: Legend
Role Qualities/Attributes: Halo and wings that she'll hide sometimes.
Role Reasoning: Gemmaline's start in life wasn't promising. With no family and many who ignored or mocked her, she had only a few close companions and found life unbearable in the orphange. Life outside of it wasn't easy either. It took some time for her to pull herself from the low point she'd beeen living under and to see the good in the world. Now she's a champion for the downtrodden, whether that's protecting or avenging them from corrupt nobles, murderous pirates, or Daedric princes. She sees what a difference she can make in peoples' lives and beyond that to the world in general and it has helped her make friends and allies all acoss Tamriel. That said, her former life as a runaway on the streets and thief means she's got an eye for those who are trying to use her and she only offers her services to those truly in need and not those too lazy to do things themselves.
★ Personality ★
Option 1. Summarize your character's personality in general and what their full potential would look like to them and what they would be willing to go through to meet that potential and what gaining that potential would mean to them. 400-800 word requirement.
Gemmaline is genuinely good at heart and wants to make the right choices that keep people around her safe and happy. In Tamriel, however, there are sometimes choices that will benefit one while harming another, or choices where nobody wins but it's the lesser of two evils. Gemmaline has been around long enough to not wear a pair of rose-colored glasses. She hopes for a good solution to problems that arise, but recognizes that in truth not everything can turn out well. She's mainly a realist; understanding that the world is cruel but at least trying to push things in the right direction. She has little patience for whiners, slackers, or the pompous. If she finds herself in the presence of one, they had best have a damn good reason for needing help and she'll take verbal potshots at them along the way (unfortunately they're sometimes too full of themselves to even realize she's insulting them).
Her background makes her wary of her fellow Dunmer as she expects insults or arrogance from them. She prefers traveling outside of Morrowind to other lands and helping people there. Through her travels she's helped change minds about her people based on her willingness to help and in turn she's found that people aren't always so different either. Her people are in an alliance with the Nords of Skyrim and the Argonians of Black Marsh. This is a pretty unusual arrangement, as many Dunmer have kept Argonians enslaved and even do to this day though part of the alliance's arrangement stated that Dunmer had to free their slaves. Despite this, Gemmaline has offered aid to plenty of Argonians who have accepted and found her to not be what they expected. This Ebonheart Pact has been a rocky road, but Gemmaline has played a role in helping to smooth out relations when the three races have joined together in conference or in battle. Her desire to help has helped bring people together and change minds, but she's not a miracle worker and these are only part of the population.
Gemmaline has accomplished a lot so far and has been called "friend" and "hero" by many. But to her, the work never seems done. There is always one more cry for help in the distance that she has to go investigate. Always one more abandoned backpack or journal that she has to return to a waiting family member. And to her, reaching her full potential means doing as much as she can with the time she has in this life. After all, when she was sacrificed her life was nearly stripped away from her. She'd best do all she can while she still can.★ Player Information ★Player Name: Megan
